Your message has shown up 3, no, now 4 times on the current 'archive' page at

Regarding your 'question' - see the PCT FAQ about canister requirements at
<http://postholer.com/faq.php#Canister>, which gives a mileage summary of the
'required' areas...  You should easily see that Yosemite is the 'crux' (Reds
Meadow to Tuolumne, then Tuolumne to Dorothy Lake Pass) due to the longer
distances...  If you are nobo, of the 3 choices for BearVault delivery, that 
leaves you with Kennedy Meadows...  Or you could buy your canister elsewhere
and ship it to wherever you want to pick it up from along the trail; there are 
a few other possible options, too - but IMHO 'skating' shouldn't be one of them!
