I have both the Catalyst and the Circuit, both are great packs the only problem i have with the Circuit is with bear canisters and a load of water, for me the pack dosent carry either of those well, the catalyst carrys those item better and has a lot more flexability, for a thru hike id take the comfort of the Catalys and deal with the extra 11 ounces
