[pct-l] recent precip in So Cal

Last year, compared to '09, was great in this regard. I carried about half
of the water weight. Unfortunately, I also carried more clothing to deal
with lower temps, offsetting some of this advantage. I only recall two
100+deg. days before Mojave.
