Bummer.  I remember seeing the opened boxes next to the hiker box, and can
kind of understand someone thinking they were part of the hiker box stuff.
 But it isn't just that someone went through the open boxes, it's that
someone had to have opened them in the first place with the intention of
theft.  You just don't open a sealed container with someone elses name on
it.  I hiked with really wonderful folks, but obviously there were some bad
apples out there somewhere.
