[pct-l] Backtrack from Canada

I have been to Canada many times. I went on a school trip in college and we
crossed the border from Glacier (USA) to Waterton (Canada). We had four
vans full of students and at the border the Canadian agents took all of our
IDs and ran them through their system. About 15 minutes later several
students were asked to step out of the vans. All of the students that were
asked to step out did not get into Canada. Several had DUIs, marijuana
charges, and one pending court case. It was no big deal to the Canadians,
we just had to leave them at the border with a van so they could drive back
to Glacier.

On another occasion I went on a fishing trip with three friends in Canada.
One of my friends had a marijuana charge and the other had a DUI. They used
their passports at the border and we got in with no problems. This was
after 9/11.

When I finished the PCT last year and entered the USA I forgot to show my
"PCT papers" to the agent and he never asked for them. He also never asked
me what I was doing in Canada. He looked at my passport and asked me my
home address, which I stumbled with...the PCT?!
