The PCT, including the JMT, is for foot traffic. It is for hiker and stock use. Wheeled vehicles are not allowed. Many of  those same packers who that radical San Francisco judge would ban, help significantly to maintain the PCT, including the Sierra National Parks. As a Back Country Horseman, I volunteer many days each year working on the trail. Horses and mules are required to haul in the needed  heavy equipment that we use. Our last project, just south of Vasquez Rocks Park took seven full days. We used. and needed, two jackhammers. Ray Drasher's mules hauled them in., along with lots of additional equipment.  Ray is a Back Country Horseman, and, as a volunteer, is in charge of Section D.

No- that is not in his power. The President cannot issue an an executive order to permit illegal activities to occur in Wilderness, if that land is protected under the Wilderness Act. No President can.

Using "executive order", the President can easily over-rule that judge in S.F. That is well within his power.

A federal judge issues an order, and somehow this is Obama's fault?
 WTF?
