Could Erik the Black put his PCT Altas pages up on the web for us to
download for free?  Well...yeah, I suppose he probably could.  On the other
hand, he's gone out there and had to pay attention to a lot more than just
hiking.  That goes for any other PCT resource.

Thanks for saying that about Erik.  He has been getting quite a bit of
flack lately and while some of it is legit (elevation profiles misleading)
for the most part he has produced a very good set of guidebooks that took a
significant investment of time, money and effort.  I have used them for
several years and I really appreciate not only his books, but his website
and his personal desire to help people enjoy long distance hiking.
