We love Merry Go Round too. Very cheap, lots of vegetables.

It's a must visit if you are in Lone Pine...you won't be sorry if you do. By the way, doesn't testing sleeping gear usually involve an over night? Dow Villas and Merry Go Round obviously too much temptation for a Trail Pirate.
> Switchback replies: Yes, I have been going to the Merry Go Round for 40 years, I think. It seems the first time I went to Lone Pine was in the 1970's. I cannot remember. The reason I do not stay overnight at Horseshoe Meadows is that I do not want to scare the bears, Drug Cartel Soldier's, Indians, and Female Terminator Leadership Types. The Sierras are not use to a real mountainman of the first order and old school. There are not too many of us around anymore, who remember the last Ice Age glaciers, etc. I do not want to upset the delicate equalibrium that Mother Nature has up there.
