[pct-l] Section Hiking The PCT

Having two small boys and a limited income and time it wont be possible for me to through hike the PCT. I was wandering if anyone might be able to give me advice on how to select locations to start a section hike depending on the time of year. I will only have about a week to hike and I am not sure when I will even  be able to go. I am thinking May or June but have no specific time. Any advice would be appreciated.
