Dearly beloved,

Somebody from the Hikertown compound- fills a container about 40” x 40” x 40”, and leaves it at the Cottonwood Bridge area. Also, before this location, a spigot is available provided by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power Company. It’s within eyesight of the water cache aforementioned. Also, prior to this source (south), there is a metal cabinet encountered on the trail, spray painted with PCT water. I got water from this location too. There’s an Igloo cooler type container here, filled with water. Thank you Hikertown!

The next available water north of Cottonwood Bridge, is at Horse Thief Canyon.

Then- a trail angel (unmarked) cache is encountered, on the way to Tehachapi.

The mountain was set on fire due to an airplane accident. It killed all on board and set the countryside on fire. You’ll walk thru it on the way to Willow Springs Rd.

Then- a water stop at Tiger Tank.

Except... Tiger Tank is bone dry. And, the shower head has been removed. WTF? It doesn’t matter, but expecting to get a shower, and finding the shower head laying on the ground is a real bummer. Plus the tank is empty. Oh- why do they call it tiger tank? The water holding tank, has a sticker on the side of it, proclaiming it’s manufacturer- Tiger Tank. The system is dependent on the hardware functioning just like a toilet tank with a floating ball regulating the fill system. Everything is now defunct. Expect to be disappointed. After the unexpected water cache previously... water may be found thanks to trail angels leaving water at the Tehachapi/Mohave trail head, just before Willow Springs Rd.
